Work Experience 12A & 12B

Grade 11 and 12 students can earn 4 – 8 credits depending on the number of volunteer, paid and/or career exploration hours completed. A minimum of 100 hours of work experience in school-approved work placements are required for each course. Hours may be used from your current job after registering for the course and completing the Work Experience Placement Agreement, Safety Checklist, and a Training Plan. In addition to the hours spent in the workforce, students complete assignments on self-assessment, future pathways and a journal. Work Experience is a great opportunity for students to develop employability skills and investigate career pathways. Work Experience is scheduled outside the timetable. See the Career Contact teacher in the Career Centre for more information.
