Human Performance 12/Work Experience 12 course info:

In Human Performance 12 there is a focus on recreation, health, and helping the student become more employable. Specific units of study include workplace health and safety, society and recreation, nutrition, self-care/mental health, motor skill development, camping skills, and lesson planning. Students will receive certifications in a variety of areas including work safety, concussion awareness and anaphylaxis training. Students have the opportunity to take part in a variety of recreational outings such as sailing, surfing, and golfing. A highlight for all is a camping trip to Tofino.

A new addition to this course is that it is being paired with a dual credit sports management course (SPMA 100) with Camosun College that, upon completion, will give students credit for a post-secondary course.

If a student completes Human Performance 11, Human Performance 12, and WEX 12, then they will also receive credit for Career Life Education 10.
