Economics is the study of how people allocate resources under scarcity. Difficult and important decisions are often economic decisions! This course is a combination of theory and applied.
What will I DO in Economics 12?
- Apply economic theory to everyday choices, such as:
- Personal choices: Should I make or buy lunch today? Do I attend university immediately after highschool or enter the workforce?
- Business choices: Should I hire additional workers to increase productivity? Should I rent a warehouse or buy a building for my business?
- Government choices: Should we offer financial incentives for purchasing EVs? Should we impose tariffs to protect the domestic production of aluminum?
